"The automotive industry and the automotive supply industry occupy an essential place in the economy of our country and provide high employment for individuals. Our country has become one of the critical centers of the world in terms of the automotive industry, and the need for a trained, qualified workforce in the field of automotive has increased. The automotive sector in Turkey, our country, due to its close relationship with other sectors in the economy, is one of the leading sectors of the economy. Automotive engineering is the engineering branch that deals with the engineering problems and needs of the automotive industry and the industries associated with this sector. The purpose of Süleyman Demirel University Automotive Engineering Department; To train automotive engineers who have the necessary knowledge and skills in engineering, can work with other engineering disciplines, are aware of the moral and ethical values ​​of the society, can access information resources and have international competence. Automotive engineers trained in this context are expected to know automotive technologies, production processes, materials, existing and alternative fuels, security systems, automotive and environmental interactions. It is the responsibility of automotive engineers to understand, use, develop, and apply technologies belonging to the automotive industry. In the Automotive Engineering Department, students will be given theoretical engineering knowledge, practice, and design training so that they can have the experience to start working in the industry immediately upon graduation. The education plan of the department covers the fundamental and engineering expertise of automotive engineering, advanced automotive technologies, and the management of the automotive industry. To realize this training plan in the Automotive Engineering Department; • Know the engineering and design principles related to automotive engineering, • Apply engineering principles in the automotive industry, • Ability to follow technological developments in the automotive industry, • Knowledgeable about the efficient use of energy and its environmental effects, • Being able to communicate pioneering and effective in teamwork, • Can absorb the ethical and moral values ​​of the society, It plans to train Automotive Engineers."
