Civil Engineering
Civil engineers who combine materials and techniques to make and control all kinds of structures can find jobs in any sector where construction is taking place. Dam, Road, subway, airport, bridge, buildings, railway, tunnel, water network are some of the work areas. If they wish, they can obtain a master's degree and a doctorate after The Bachelor's degree. The history of Civil Engineering Department started education in 21 February 1976 under the name of "Isparta Academy of Engineering and Architecture". The Civil Engineering Department has five divisions: Structural Engineering, Hydraulics, Transportation, Geotechnics, Engineering Mechanics. The department conducts M.Sc and Ph.D programs within the Institute of Science and Technology (School of Graduate Studies) in the areas of Structural Engineering, Hydraulics, Geotechnics, Transportation and Engineering Mechanics. The department includes 11 Professors, 7 Associate Professor, 11 Assistant Professors, and 10 Research Assistant. There are six laboratories, supporting, teaching activities for undergraduate students and are used for conducting experimental works of the M.Sc. and Ph.D. students on their research activities. Our department's mission; to train civil engineers who can take part in various studies in the field at the national and international levels, are environmentally sensitive, have social and ethical awareness, and contribute to the development of society.
