Mathematics
The department is comprised of six main branches; Geometry, Analysis and Functions Theory, Applied Mathematics, Algebra and Numbers Theory, Topology and Basics of Mathematics and Mathematical Logic. Mathematics is one of the oldest and developing sciences and is closely associated with computing, physics, biology, social sciences and economics. Taken into consideration the wide application fields of mathematics, well-educated mathematicians have been demanded in various areas. The aim of the department is to educate analytical and global mathematicians thinking logically and knowing techniques of reaching at information itself. Graduates may work in the application units of institutions oriented toward industrial and service sector in the fields of economy, science and society as well as education.
