An education oriented towards educating statisticians who collect information related to social, economic, cultural, scientific facts and events and being able to interpret and state these information numerically by using statistical techniques has been aimed. Statisticians work in statistics offices of hospitals, and in the research and computer units of public institutions such as the State Statistics Institute(DIE), the State Planning Organization, Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Institute, Turkish Standards Institute, Banks and Police Organization (in the field of traffic in particular).
